Pink Pimpernel

Anagallis Tenella
Latin Name: Anagallis Tenella
Moisture/Zone: Zone 2 to 3
Flower Colour: Pink
Growth Speed: Medium
Foliage Type: Deciduous
Foliage Colour: Green
Position: Full Sun, Part sun

This delicate little plant has masses of tiny round leaves on creeping stems. Pretty pink flowers are held above the leaves; the flowers open widely in full sun. It can be grown as a shallow water oxygenator or a marginal plant.
Submerged oxygenating plants help to balance the pond ecology, increasing the oxygen level in the water during daylight hours and providing cover for pondlife. They help to reduce unsightly algae and provide a better environment for fish.
