The striking appearance of this sturdy Horsetail provides a focal point iin stand alone planting or can be used to compliment any planting scheme. A tall plant with architectural presence, this equisetum is the largest of the family with mature stems over 1 cm across. The evergreen stems are attractively barred with black rings. Grows into strong, eye catching clumps, but is slow growing and not invasive. Keep well watered. Can be grown as a marginal pond plant.
