A spring flowering bulb with slender stems bearing narrow grey-green leaves. This variety originates from  Russia. The beautiful flowers are bell shaped, coloured purplish-brown with the ends of the petals bright yellow, a most unusual colour combination. The delicate blooms, nodding in the breeze, are very attractive. A good plant for naturalizing in grass in moisture retentive soil.
