The New Zealand pennywort is a fast growing oxygenating plant. The rounded emergent leaves have scalloped edges, growing into floating mats. These provide cover for pond creatures, but spread quickly and must be kept in check. Flowers are insignificant, small and green. Do not dispose of unwanted plants into the wild.
