This is a beautiful foliage plant - tussocks of arching strappy leaves are an eye-catching silver green. Small greenish flowers are born on pannicles followed by purplish fruit; this is eaten by the Maoris. The plant grows to 2 m in height and grows well when planted among rocks or on a bank.
