Mammoth Miscanthus

Miscanthus Giganteus
Latin Name: Miscanthus Giganteus

A tall and gracful architectural plant, Miscanthus belongs to the family of grasses. This largem upright variegaty can grow to 3m in height. The eye-catching clumps are topped with wonderful feathery plumes in late summer which last right through to spring, providing interest and movement in winter. Leaves are 25mm wide, deep green with a white mid-vein. Likes a moist sunny position with deep, rich compost. Can be used to feature in patio pots and will not need winter protection. Cut off old growth in spring when new shoots start to arreap.
