Miscanthus belongs to the family of grasses; this compact form grows to only 1.5m producing a wonderful profusion of feathery plumes extending above the tops of the narrow folaige in summer, lasting right through to spring, providing interest and movement during the winter months. An excellent choice for a small garden. Likes a moist sunny position with deep, rich compost. Can be used to feature in patio pots and will not need winter protection. Cut off old growth in spring when new shoots start to arreap.
