Japanese Silver Grass

Miscanthus Variegatus
Miscanthus Variegatus Miscanthus Variegatus
Latin Name: Miscanthus Variegatus

A tall and graceful architectural plant, Miscanthus belongs to the family of grasses. This variegated form has strong, broad folaige finely striped in green and white. It grows into eye-catching clumps topped with wonderful feathery plumes in summer which last right through to spring, providing interest and movement in winter. Likes a moist sunny position with deep, rich compost. Can be used to feature in patio pots and will not need winter protection. Cut off old growth in spring when new shoots start to arreap.
