This hardy Mexican plant is similar to a yucca, the narrow, grey-green leaves form attractive rosettes. When mature the plant will flower in April/May; a monstrous bright red flower stalk up to 3 m long will appear, arching outward and dangling the pendulous, tubular, red and green flowers. A spectacular feature plant, the silver sheened leaves are at their best in full sun. Plant in a sunny border, or as a specimen patio plant. Needs well drained soil.
