Echinacea purpurea 'Powwow'
Latin Name: Echinacea purpurea 'Powwow'

The striking flower heads of the Coneflower are attractive to butterflies and bees. Rose-purple daisey-like petals surround a central orange-browm disk. A deciduous, clump forming plant, it prefers a position in full sun. Soil should be humus-rich and well drained. Very floriferous, flowering from late spring through to late summer. Drought tolerant. Useful for cut flowers. Height 60 to 90 cm. Seed heads can be left to provide winter food for birds.
