This is the first dwarf variety of Sea holly, growing to only 30 cm. The spoon shaped blue-green leaves have attractive spiny edges.  It produces a wealth of cone shaped purple-blue flowers in summer, which are favoured for cut flower arrangements. A compact plant attractive to butterflies and deer resistant. Drought tolerant once established.
