An outstanding South American grass forming dense clumps of metallic blue leaves. Small blue flower appear in early summer. Prefers to grow in full sun, but will tolerate shady conditions. Soils should be moist but well drained; drought tolerant. Height 40 t0 50 cm, can be cut back to ground level in late autumn. Plant in the garden or feature in a patio pot; excellant for a rockery.
